About Us

Located within minutes of Nagambie and covering some 520 acres of rich alluvial river flats, Gilgai Farm has quickly established itself as one of Australia’s premier thoroughbred nurseries.  Since it’s first yearling crop, containing the mighty Black Caviar, was sent to sale in 2008, Gilgai Farm has been a constant supplier of Group 1 racing stock.  Black Caviar, All Too Hard, Philippi, Lion of Belfort, The Quarterback, Lucky Bubbles, Supido and Jameka have all performed at the highest level and those coming from just the first 54 Gilgai breds to race.  As the studs principle puts it, “The first 54 was my learning phase, now I know what I’m doing the next 54 should take us to another level”.
